Spring 2027 Registration

Registration for Spring 2027 will open on October 26, 2026 thru January 8, 2027 or until capacity is reached for all programs. Please find more information regarding registration below.

Spring 2027 Saturday Academy Dates (8:50 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.):

March 6 & 20 (MSEN Day Mock Trials)

April 24 (MSEN Day)

May 15 (Awards Ceremony)

Virtual Thursday Sessions will be held from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. on:

Registration requirements:

• Application;
• Application Fee ($125.00); and 
• Transcript/most recent report card (GPA 2.5 or higher/grade of “C” or higher in the student’s math/science classes). Infinite Campus/PowerSchool screenshots are permitted. Student’s name and school must be evident on the transcript and report card.

The STEM Pre-College Program Saturday Academy

The Center for STEM Education at UNC Charlotte offers a STEM Pre-College Program to broaden the pool of students pursuing mathematics, science, and engineering majors and careers. Students in grades 6-12 with interests in math and science are encouraged to apply.

The program consists of ten Saturdays during the academic year. Historically, participants engage in various hands-on-enrichment activities in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics). Activities include: field trips, lectures and demonstrations by UNC Charlotte faculty/staff/students, robotics; math and science competitions, SAT/ACT preparation; STEM Fairs, Science Olympiad and more.
