Virtual Event Thursday, February 23, 2023. This event will not be held at Phillip O. Berry Academy (Directions to Phillip O. Berry Academy) but will be a Virtual Event.
5:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.
Registration and Paper Submission Deadline: February 17, 2023
Instructions to Presenters: 1) save your paper as a pdf file; 2) include in your paper file name, the following listed in order, student last name(s), grade, category; 3) upload your paper at the registration site; 4) paper must be submitted by the Registration deadline, February 17, 2023..
North Carolina Student Academy of Science (NCSAS) is an organization for students in grades 6-12 in alliance with the North Carolina Academy of Science (NCAS).
Students can prepare research projects as an individual or as a team of 2-3 students. Students can conduct research in any appropriate area of science, technology or mathematics and then prepare their written reports.
To compete, students must submit their entry forms by February 17, 2023 and upload a pdf of her/his paper following the specified file naming requirement listed above in bold.
Students must have their paper certified by a District Co-Director before the student can advance to the state competition.
The objectives of NCSAS are
1) to promote the study of science, technology, and mathematics,
2) to assist students to pursue careers in science and technology, and
3) to encourage students to use their talents for improvement of themselves, their schools, and their communities.
